Friendly Golden Retriever who grew up surrounded by people

our golden retriever named Atlas has been part of our home for almost three years and honestly he behaves more like a quiet roommate than a dog sometimes. he is extremely gentle with people and has always been very patient around children and guests. he loves long walks but once he comes back home he usually just lies down near the door or next to the couch. golden retrievers are known for their friendly nature and he fits that description perfectly. the problem started when we moved from a house with a yard to a smaller apartment in the city. even though we still walk him every day it is clear that he misses the open space where he used to run around freely. we want him to live somewhere where he can enjoy more space again instead of adapting to a smaller environment that really isnt ideal for a dog his size.
