White Pomeranian that follows people everywhere in the house

our small white pomeranian named Snow has been living with us for a little over a year and somehow became the most social creature in the apartment. unlike some small dogs that bark constantly he is actually very calm indoors. he spends most of the day following whoever is moving around the house. if someone walks into the kitchen he follows. if someone sits down to work he curls up next to the chair. he likes playing with soft toys but after a few minutes he usually loses interest and just lies down nearby. pomeranians are very attached to people and that is exactly the issue we are facing now. both of us started working longer hours and the apartment stays empty most of the day. we realized he deserves a home where someone is around more often rather than adapting to long hours of being alone.
