Brown Poodle male that still waits by the hallway at walk time

I am writing this one a bit personally because this dog has habits that make the whole thing harder. He is the kind of Poodle that remembers routines down to the minute. Around late afternoon he still goes and waits near the hallway because that used to be our walk time before my schedule changed. He is not hyper inside the house, not destructive, not difficult, just very aware and very attached to the structure of the day. Outside he becomes alert and curious, especially around parks and familiar streets, but indoors he mostly wants to stay in the same room as people. He learns quickly, notices small changes, and responds to tone more than force, which is very typical for a clever Poodle. His brown coat has been kept trimmed and clean, and he stands surprisingly patiently for brushing. I am choosing adoption instead of sale because this is not about getting money back; it is about getting him into a home where he is not left staring at the door waiting for a walk that comes too late.
