Looking for my friend's forever family

🐾 SKY IS LOOKING FOR A VERY SPECIAL FAMILY — RESPONSIBLE ADOPTION 🐾 Sky is a 5-year-old Cairn Terrier (or mix) and approximately 7 kg. I adopted him after the DANA in Valencia and since then he has been my best friend and a very important part of my life. That’s why this post is very hard for me to write. ❤️ After a long time trying to find a solution, I have come to the conclusion that I need to look for a home for Sky that can better adapt to his needs. Sky is a very active, affectionate, intelligent dog with a lot of character, as a good terrier should be. He needs activity, walks, and stimulation, and I believe he could be much happier in a house with a garden, a quiet or rural environment, and plenty of access to the outdoors. There is something VERY important that I want to make clear from the beginning: Sky has a significant barking problem, especially when he hears people, when someone enters or leaves the house, and around the door. His barking is very intense. I do not want to hide it or minimize it, because the person who adopts him needs to know exactly what he is like before making any decision. That’s why I am NOT looking for just anyone who simply wants a dog. I preferably seek someone who: 🏡 has a house with a garden or an environment with plenty of access to the outdoors 🐕 has experience with dogs and, if possible, with terriers 🌳 leads an active life and can dedicate time to him ❤️ has patience and is willing to work on his behaviors 🐾 understands the character of a terrier and does not expect a calm and quiet dog 🤝 is willing to keep in contact with me during the adaptation process My absolute priority is that Sky does not go through another family. He has had changes of home before and I want that if I finally take this step, it is to find him his forever family. I am in no hurry to hand him over. I prefer to wait months and find the right person rather than give him to someone who is not compatible with him.
