Quiet Persian cat that prefers soft corners and slow evenings

This Persian cat has always been more of a peaceful background presence than a dramatic attention-seeker. She likes soft places, warm rooms, and predictable people. For most of the day she alternates between sleeping near the balcony curtain and moving to the same armchair every evening, almost as if she has built her own schedule into the house. She does not rush to strangers right away, but once she decides a person is safe, she becomes quietly affectionate and likes gentle brushing more than most cats I have known. Because of her coat, grooming has always been part of life with her, and thankfully she tolerates it without turning it into a fight. She eats well, uses the litter box without issue, and has never been destructive in the house. The reason for rehoming is not dramatic, just unfortunate: my mother recently started treatment that makes animal hair a real issue, and keeping the cat separated in one room is clearly not a real life for her.
