Brown poodle companion that prefers people over toys

This brown poodle male named Bruno has been living with our family for almost a year and during that time he developed a very people-oriented personality. Unlike many small dogs that constantly demand attention through barking he prefers quiet companionship. If someone sits down to read or work on a laptop he simply comes closer and lies beside the chair as if he wants to stay part of the moment. He enjoys short play sessions but after a few minutes he usually becomes calm again which makes him well suited for indoor living. The reason we are looking for a new home is related to an unexpected relocation for work that will require frequent long-distance travel. Leaving a dog like him alone for extended periods would not be fair. Poodles are known for their intelligence and emotional awareness and Bruno is no exception. We hope to find someone who appreciates these traits and can provide a stable environment.
