African Grey parrot that learned half the sounds in our house

Description

this is honestly one of the hardest listings i’ve written because this african grey has been living with us for years. his name is Atlas and he arrived as a young bird about five years ago. at first he barely made any sound but over time he started copying small noises around the house. the funny part is that he doesn’t always repeat words, sometimes he just copies the rhythm of people talking or the sound of a chair moving on the floor. most of the day he sits on a wooden perch near my desk and watches everything like he is analyzing human behavior. african greys are extremely intelligent and they get bored very easily if nobody interacts with them. unfortunately my work changed recently and i’m out of the house almost all day. a bird like this should live with someone who enjoys spending time talking to it and letting it be part of everyday life instead of sitting alone in a cage.
