African Grey parrot that learned more words than I expected

This African Grey parrot has been part of my daily routine for almost six years and I never imagined I would be writing an adoption listing for him. His name is Marco and he has a surprisingly curious personality for a bird. Every morning he waits until someone enters the kitchen because he already knows breakfast time means fresh fruit pieces. Over the years he learned several small phrases, sometimes randomly repeating things he heard months ago. The funniest habit he has is copying my phone notification sound which confused me more than once. He spends several hours outside the cage each day walking across the table or sitting on the back of a chair observing everything happening around him. The reason I’m searching for a new home is not because of behavior issues but because my work now requires international travel for weeks at a time. These birds are extremely social and intelligent and leaving him alone with minimal interaction feels unfair. I would prefer someone experienced with parrots who understands their emotional needs.
