Lost Romanian Hamster – escaped from home enclosure

Our Romanian Hamster went missing two nights ago from our home in a quiet residential area. The cage door appears to have been slightly open, and we believe he may have escaped during the night. He is small, fast, and likely frightened. He has never been outside before, so he may be hiding in dark, warm spaces such as garages, sheds, storage boxes, or under furniture. He is not aggressive and is used to human contact. He may respond calmly if approached slowly. He is especially attracted to food smells, particularly seeds and fresh vegetables. We are extremely worried, as he has always been kept indoors in a safe environment. If anyone in the nearby area has seen a small brown hamster or heard movement in enclosed spaces, please contact us immediately. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
