This blue-and-gold macaw flew away unexpectedly when the door was briefly opened. It is a large bird with very distinctive plumage: bright blue back and wings, and golden chest and belly. It is very conspicuous in flight, but may fly quite far when startled. It is usually gentle and does not attack people unprovoked, but it will become nervous in unfamiliar environments and may perch on high places to observe its surroundings. It will respond to familiar sounds and its name "Leo," sometimes stopping to tilt its head and look around. If you see this macaw in your neighborhood, park, woods, on a rooftop, or near a balcony, please do not chase it or startle it with loud noises. You can try attracting it with fruit (apples, bananas) or playing its calls. It has lived with me since it was a cub; to me, it is not just a pet, but family. Coming home every day to an empty cage is very painful. Any clue is very important, and I will be very grateful if it is found.
